About the Project
The Northern Colorado Regional Airport Terminal project is a modern 20,000 SF terminal strengthening the region鈥檚 air travel capabilities. This new terminal features two ground-loaded gates, houses TSA security operations and includes inbound and outbound baggage handling systems. It provides shell space for future concessions, hosts rental car counters and serves one to two airline carriers. The project team executed significant site improvements, including new utilities鈥攕uch as water, sanitary sewer, power and communications鈥攁nd conducted grading and drainage work. The project team rehabilitated and reconstructed existing parking lots and access roads to streamline traffic flow and enhance usability. In addition, they landscaped courtyards and planted greenery around the building, access roads and parking areas to improve the site鈥檚 visual appeal. The project team achieved LEED Silver certification, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable building practices. Finally, the Northern Colorado Regional Airport Terminal exceeded its 60% requirement for the Buy American Build American standards. This achievement supports U.S. manufacturers and aligns with federal economic priorities.
